Fantastic news! We’ve just recruited some midwifery students to join the Placement Project team.
What will this involve?
This will hopefully mean creating a version of the ‘Placement Survival Pack’ with information specific to new BMidwif cohorts. This will be launched alongside reflective blogs in this tab where second and third year students can share their placement experiences as on the BNurs field tabs.
Why is this important?
This is a great opportunity, it will provide interesting cross-field resources for the BNurs cohorts. But also by expanding to cover the midwifery course, they’ll be able to access the project as a peer support resource, it will help the future sustainability of the project and we can try and help more new students in their transition to practice.
How can I get involved?
If you’re a current Manchester University Midwifery student and you’re interested in getting involved please email us using the form below. We’d love to get some more midwives involved, it’ll be something good to pop on your CV and the reflective blogs are great for your portfolio. Get in touch if you’re interested and you’d like to find out more!
